Follow our walkthrough to see how Passbook works and how to get started.

Set up Passbook

1. Open Passbook

Install and launch Passbook on your computer to begin the setup process.

2. Create your Master Password

Choose a strong Master Password that you can remember. It protects your financial data, so keep it safe.

3. Sign in with your primary Google account

Sign in using the Gmail account you want to associate with Passbook. This account is used for your Passbook account and Google Drive backup.

4. Allow Google Drive access

Passbook needs permission to access its own app data in your Google Drive so it can store encrypted backups and sync your data across supported devices.

Your privacy matters: Passbook's Google Drive access is restricted to its own application data. It cannot browse or read your general Drive files, such as your personal documents, photos, or other folders.

Once setup is complete, you're ready to start organizing your family's finances with Passbook.

Keep your Master Password safe

Your Master Password is not stored on Passbook's servers. Keep it somewhere safe, because losing it may mean losing access to your encrypted financial data.
